Major Project: Sunday League Stills

Here are some of the Photographs that the photographer took which include cast and crew to show some of the filming processes, below is a picture of the iPad on the car windscreen showing the image of the go pro inside the car and what it is seeing as we couldn't be in the car at the same time - but there is also the picture of us looking at the iPad around the car whilst filming this scene.

This photo is a good representation of the character Tom and his 'you want some' attitude, he is sticking up for the team in the photo against Darren Carter (the guy who beat up Nathan) These are from the night club scenes and you can see the actors are getting direction from Danny and in one of them the boom pole but the sound an is hiding - we had to use the boom pole and the clip mic's as there was a lot of background noise.

This car scene was on a cold day but because the actors were in the car they kept warm and did a good job plus there wasn't much we could while the go pro was filming except let the guys do the scene on this angle then swap. All the crew were very cold but I made sure we had tea and coffee plus for lunch we had just had pizza to keep us warm.

Major Project: Sunday League Character Change

In the start of Sunday League during casting er found our Tom, played by Daniel (Dan) we did the table read, he memorised his lines and we felt he was a great choice of character for the role, and also has the photoshoot and signed the contract.
2 weeks before filming I exchanged contact with him, like all the actors to make sure everyone was ready and had the time off, when he told me that he had been called up for duty duty but was trying to get out of it so he could still be in the film, but unfortunately he couldn't get out of it, leaving us with no main character and feeling a bit screwed as we really liked him.

we had put so much time and effort into everything for the film and him now we had to find a replacement and fast, the worst I felt was that he was one of the strongest actors we had.
After all he team on board and all hands on deck to find a replacement, including Helen and Chris even though it wasn't their job we managed to fins a replacement within 3 days and after having a Skype interview due to lack of time we found him and all thanks to Helen for pointing us in his direction.

This was brilliant news and it happened so fast which was great, the only thing that we forgot which would affect our work is that we would need to re-do the title sequence as we couldn't have 2 different Toms' but we was restricted on time but the boys reckoned that we could do the same shots as the pervious one just have to shoot the same 3 shots and this could be done during the shoot week, this was reassuring and falling back into place.

This is the first title sequence with Dan in.
This is the title sequence with the new Tom - Mitchell.

Another problem we occurred is that not only the title sequence would have to be re-done due to character change but also the poster as this has to also be handed in and couldn't have a different person on. The problem with this was we couldn't just replace Dan like we did in the title sequence as for one Dan is wont to Malik with their arms around each other so would be tricky and a lot of editing to do for Chris, also we did a photoshoot to have pictures of everyone for the poster etc and because we did this last term with Dan Mitchell unfortunately wasn't involved in this so we didn't have any pictures of him like the others.

We needed to come up with a new idea for the poster and after the struggle the first time around it wasn't looking hopeful but Chris played around with this an came up with a simple yet effective idea of the screen grab from the title sequence of the split screen with all the boys in, this was simple but we all loved the idea.

This is the final poster (second one with Mitchell in)
