These pictures are of our trip to Folkestone to see the painting that Banksy created a few days before. I took all the pictures and Mike took video's. We travelled to Folkestone so we could get the pictures and video's of the artwork before it could be defaced or graffitied, as we are not planning on filming this story for a little while and just incase we want to make sure we have material.
This is a picture of the artwork on the back of an amusement building in the centre of the town, next to a piece of graffiti originally, I thought this was an appropriate shot as some people consider what Banksy does is graffiti itself, plus this piece is suppose to represent artwork on a pedestal.
This shot is to show that the artwork is bringing people and even tourism to the area to see the piece plus this might even help put Folkestone back on the map along with the triennial which is also happening till 2nd November.
This is a low angle of the piece by itself, unfortunately with the protective cover it cause reflections so you can see Mike and Lex's reflections in the corner, this won't be used in our film but just for blog to show the artwork.
Here we are standing in the car park to show a wide shot of the area and how close people can park and quickly admire the painting, plus I got Mike in shot showing what he is filming.
This is a shot of the artwork too but it is hidden slightly behind the lamp post, I thought I would get a shot of the road name incase anyone wants to take a look and a trip themselves, I would like to know why Banksy chose this place/and the back of the amusement building, I wonder if it can be seen from a distance.
This picture is of the front of the building where the Banksy is, the amusements owner was lucky to have an artwork left behind but as so many people were visiting the artwork the owner employed a security guard during the day to protect from vandalism, as this is now brining in tourism.
