Digital News Production: Folkestone Trip

We went to Folkestone to have a look around and familiarise ourselves with the area before we film as this is important as we can't just turn up and expect to have the perfect film quickly. We went to photography and take archive footage for the Package piece.
We took photos and footage of the Banksy piece before is would get a chance to be defaced and graffitied. This image I took so you could see the graffiti next to it.

I took this one to show people how popular the art is becoming and soon will bring in tourism for Folkestone.

This image is to show where the Banksy piece is just in case people want to go and see it, the artwork is in this piece but it is hidden by the lamp post unfortunately.

This image is to show what Folkestone's high street looks like, this is just full of independent stores and is looking a bit run down and in need of some tourism and money into this sea side town.

This image is of other art work around the town but this is just part of the features and not the triennial.

We thought we would get a photo of other pieces of graffiti in the town but this was the only thing we could find other than the original writing on random walls.

We took a few images of the harbour to show what it looks like, also you can tell how much money has been put into it but the expenses of boats and how it looks/kept up to date.

This one shows the shops/houses etc on the harbour front and what kind they are, like the old beach hoses but in darker colours.

The beach isn't very big but it looks like most beaches but just not a very big popular tourist destination as there is no ice cream shops or fish and chip shops or even the souvenir places.

We took this shot to show that they are starting to do Folkestone up but this is just a small thing compared to Margate who have done the whole beach and sea front but Folkestone could be next with the help of Banksy's art work.
