Situated between Margate and Ramsgate, Broadstairs is a small town on the east coast of Kent over looking the English channel. This is part of the Thanet Isle and Thanet are the biggest supporters of the Broadstairs food festival.
Broadstairs is home the Kent's food festival which is hosted every year in October right by the sea, this is it's sixth year, the festival is made up of food from all over Kent from dairy's to meat and cider. The festival brings 10's of thousands of people together to celebrate food made and sourced from Kent's gardens. The festival lasts all weekend from Friday to Sunday with many events going on all weekend, with champagne afternoon children's workshop and a demonstration.
Broadstairs is home to one of Charles Dickens houses and its beaches are award winning, especially in the summer with the water sports and many ice cream parlours by the beach. This is all year round destination as in the winter you can enjoy walks through the parks to Ramsgate. However we are going in October so it will be autumn and should be good weather just cooling down, which means it should be a good filming day.
We actually checked the weather before we left and we chose the right day over the weekend as Friday is supposed to be sunny and no rain.
